The Des Moines Equestrian Center

The Des Moines Equestrian Center is a place that offers something for the entire family. Our facility encompasses over 400 acres of woods and pasture for the horse enthusiast! The acres are full of wildlife and beautiful scenery providing a great place to trail ride for our boarders and pasture horses. This is more than just riding in an arena. Our trails end at the Des Moines River where you can watch for bald eagles, deer, geese or anything else you could imagine native to Iowa! We are only 10 minutes from downtown Des Moines! We also have a total of 28 stalls for boarding. This provides a great place to keep your horse inside the city limits! This is very accessible for our clients! We are located at 3111 Hartford Road, Des Moines, Iowa. If you take I-235 to the East 14^th Street Exit and head South to Hartford Road. Turn Left on Hartford Road (East) and stay on Hartford for approximately 2 miles. (You will pass the Jim Cowney Soccer Complex, once the road turns to gravel, we are just a little further down the road on the left). Hope to see you soon!
